The LIAISON? XL MUREX HCV Ab assay uses chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) technology for the qualitative determination of specific antibodies to hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) in human serum or plasma samples. The test has to be performed on the LIAISON? XL analyzers only. For the qualitative determination of specific antibodies to hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) in human serum or plasma samples. Post mortem samples collected up to 24 hours after death have been tested and may be also used in the assay.
