Duspatalin retard 200 mg modifi ed release capsules are
opaque white, hard gelatine capsules, with the standard
imprint 245 on the surface. They are to be taken orally
(by mouth). Each capsule contains 200 mg of mebeverine
hydrochloride.
Excipients (non-medicinal ingredients):
_Capsule content (granules): _
Magnesium stearate, polyacrylate dispersion (copolymer of
ethyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate), talc, hypromellose,
methacrylic acid – ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) dispersion
(containing sodium laurylsulphate and polysorbate 80),
glycerol triacetate
_Capsule shell: _
Gelatine, titanium dioxide (E171), printing inks: shellac (E904),
black iron oxide (E172), soy lecithin (E322) and Antifoam DC.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of abdominal pain and cramps, bowel
disturbances and intestinal discomfort related to irritable
bowel syndrome.
Treatment of gastro-intestinal spasm secondary to organ
diseases.
Dosage and administration
_Adults _
Take one capsule twice daily, once in the morning and once
in the evening.
Swallow the capsules with at least 100 ml of water, do not
chew.
Always take Duspatalin retard exactly as your doctor has
prescribed. If you have any questions, check with your doctor
or pharmacist.
If you forget to take your tablet(s), do not take a double dose
to compensate for it. If you require further information, please
ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
_Paediatric Population _
Duspatalin retard 200 mg capsules are not recommended for
use in children and adolescents below 18, due to insuffi cient
data on safety and effi cacy.
Contraindications
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic (hypersensitive)
to the active substance or to any of the excipients

No interaction studies have been performed.
