DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
ALFAXAN ANAESTHETIC INJECTION SHOULD NOT BE USED IN COMBINATION WITH
OTHER
INTRAVENOUS ANAESTHETIC AGENTS. IT SHOULD BE GIVEN BY SLOW CONTINUOUS
INJECTION OVER 60
SECONDS AND NOT AS A RAPID DOSE.
For use by the intravenous route in dogs and cats, or the
intramuscular route in cats.
DOSE
INDUCTION:
Dogs
Un-premedicated: 3 mg/kg (0.3 mL/kg)
Premedicated: 2 mg/kg (0.2 mL/kg)
Cats
Un-premedicated: 5 mg/kg (0.5 mL/kg)
Premedicated: 5 mg/kg (0.5 mL/kg)
