1. What Adios Max is and what it is used for • Adios Max is a traditional herbal medicinal product used as an aid to slimming as part of a calorie controlled diet, based on traditional use only. • Adios Max contains extract of Bladderwrack (Fucus). 2. Before you take Adios Max Do not take Adios Max: • if you have a thyroid disorder. • if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients (as listed in section 6), or to iodine (each tablet contains 144 micrograms of iodine). • if you are elderly or under 18 years of age. • if you are taking anticoagulant treatments (e.g. warfarin). • if you are taking any other medicines or dietary supplements containing iodine. When opening the container for the first time, break the tamper evident band around the flip-top cap. For adults (18 years and above): • Swallow one tablet 3 times a day, usually at mealtimes. • Use Adios Max as part of a calorie controlled diet combined with extra exercise. known as anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin). Qualitative and quantitative composition Dry extract Bladderwrack thallus (_Fucus vesiculosus_ L.) (5:1) 120 mg, Extraction solvent: 30% methanol v/v. For full list of excipients, see section List of excipients. Lactose 70 mg; Sucrose 130 mg; Iodine 144 micrograms (see section 'Special warnings and precautions for use'). 3. Pharmaceutical form White, circular, biconvex sugar-coated tablets. 4. Clinical particulars 4.1 Therapeutic indications A traditional herbal medicinal product used as an aid to slimming as part of a calorie controlled diet, based on traditional use only. 4.2 Posology and method of administration For oral use only. Adults (18 years and above): One tablet three times a day. This product should be taken as part of a calorie-controlled diet and extra exercise. If symptoms do not improve or worsen during the use of this medicinal product, a doctor or a qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted. The use in children and adolescents under 18 years and the elderly is not recommended (see section 'Special warnings and precautions for use'). 4.3 Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to iodine or to any of the excipients. Patients with a thyroid disorder. 4.4 Special warnings and precautions for use Do not exceed the stated dose. The use in children and adolescents under 18 years and the elderly is not recommended because data are insufficient and medical advice should be sought. Do not take with other medicines or dietary supplements containing iodine.
