DIRECTIONS FOR USE
CONTRAINDICATIONS: This product is
contraindicated for use in animals
receiving products containing
Monensin, Salinomycin or Narasin
during or for at least seven days
before or after treatment.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
12 mg tiamulin base/kg body-
weight (equivalent to 1 mL/8.2 kg
bodyweight) intramuscularly, as a
single daily injection.
SWINE DYSENTERY AND MYCOPLASMAL
ARTHRITIS
Treat for three consecutive days.
ENZOOTIC PNEUMONIA
Treat for five consecutive days.
On rare occasions skin erythema
may occur. In such cases
discontinue use immediately and
take alternative measures.
As Tiamutin Injection contains
sesame oil, it is important the
syringe used is dry. The admixture
of oil and water may cause the
plunger to stick.
Any variation by the prescribing
veterinarian to the approved
dose, frequency, duration, route,
disease or target species may
require extending the approved
withholding period.
USER SAFETY INFORMATION
ACCIDENTAL SELF INJECTION OF OILY
PREPARATIONS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS
LOCALISED REACTIONS. IF THIS
OCCURS, IMMEDIATELY GO TO THE
CASUALTY DEPARTMENT OF THE
NEAREST HOSPITAL, AS SPECIAL
TREATMENT MAY BE NECESSARY.
INFORM THE DOCTOR THAT THE
PRODUCT IS OIL-BASED.
