WHAT MEFETAB FILM-COATED TABLET IS USED FOR
It is used for short term relief of mild to
moderate pain such as dental pain, headache,
post-operative, childbirth pain, period pains
and rheumatic pains (painful conditions
usually caused by inflammation, swelling in
the joints or muscles).
HOW MEFETAB FILM-COATED TABLET WORKS
Mefetab film-coated tablet contains a
substance called mefenamic acid, which
belongs to a group of medicines called non-
steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
These medicines reduce pain and
inflammation, and to reduce fever
.
BEFORE YOU USE MEFETAB FILM-COATED TABLET
_- When you must not use it _
Do not take Mefetab film-coated tablet if
you are:
- allergic to mefenamic acid or other
ingredients of Mefetab film-coated
tablet.
- suffering from stomach ulcer, bleeding
and inflammatory bowel disease
(inflammation of the intestine).
- having a history of allergic reactions
(swollen eyes or mouth, difficulty
breathing, rashes) to similar painkillers
such as aspirin, ibuprofen or other
NSAIDs.

_- Before you start to use it _
Check with doctor or pharmacist:
- if you had diarrhoea with this medicine
in the past.
- if have any liver or kidney problems

if you suffer from any abnormality
of the blood.
- if suffering from fits.
- if drinks alcohol.
Please consult your doctor before start to use
Mefetab film-coated tablet if you are pregnant,
plan to become pregnant, breast-feeding or
intend to breast-feed. Your doctor will have
weighed the risks of you taking Mefetab film-
