EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine adsorbs uremic toxins and the precursor in the
gastrointestinal tract in patients
with chronic renal failure, so that they are excreted in the feces.
This alleviates uremic
symptoms such as loss of appetite, bad breath, nausea and itchiness,
and also delays
initiation of dialysis.
It is usually used to alleviate uremic symptoms and delay dialysis
initiation in patients with
progressive chronic renal failure.
