WHAT
WINTOGENO IS USED FOR
Wintogeno
Cream
contains
active ingredients menthol and
methyl salicylate.
Wintogeno may be used for the
symptomatic relief of:
• Muscular pain
• Stiffness
• Painful bruises
• Sprains
HOW
WINTOGENO WORK
Wintogeno
cream
is
a
topical
analgesic.
It
works
by
temporarily
relieving
minor
pain.
BEFORE YOU USE WINTOGENO_ _
_-When you must not use it _
•
Do
not
use
if
you
have
hypersensitivity to salicylates or
menthol or other ingredients.
_-Before you start to use it _
Some
medical
conditions
may
interact
with
methyl
salicylate/menthol
cream.
Tell
your doctor or pharmacist if you
have
any
medical
conditions,
especially if any of the following
apply to you:
• if you are pregnant, planning to
become pregnant, or are breast-
feeding
•
if
you
are
taking
any
prescription
or
nonprescription
medicine, herbal preparation, or
dietary supplement
•
if
you
have
allergies
to
medicines,
foods,
or
other
substances
• if you have had an allergic
reaction
to
aspirin
or
other
salicylates
• if you have a wound at the
affected
area
or
your
skin
is
broken or damaged in any way
_-Taking other medicines_
For
patients
taking
Warfarin,
excessive
application
may
increase the chances of bleeding.
Ask your health care provider if
methyl salicylate/menthol cream
may
interact
with
other
medicines that you take. Check
with your health care provider
before you start, stop, or change
the dose of any medicine.
HOW TO APPLY WINTOGENO
_-How much to use _
A
small
amount
of
the
Wintogeno
cream
should
be
massaged into the skin with the
palm of the hand until the area is
almost
dry,

properties rubs in easily.
WINTOGENO EXTRA CREAM may be used for the symptomatic
relief of :

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
White to off-white cream.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of the active
ingredients.
SIDE EFFECTS
Skin irritation, redness or swelling, burning or stinging sensation.
Adverse reaction is rare, symptom of dizziness, nausea may occur.
DIRECTION FOR USE
A small amount of the cream should be massaged into the skin
with the palm of the hand until the area is almost dry, using
further amount as necessary.
WINTOGENO EXTRA CREAM may be applied 2-3 times daily.
SYMPTOM AND TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE
Mild chronic salicylate intoxication, or salicylism, usually occurs
only after repeated use of large doses. Salicylism can also occur
following excessive topical application of salicylates. Symptoms
include dizziness, tinnitus, deafness, sweating, nausea and
vomiting, headache, and confusion, and may be controlled by
reducing the dosage.
WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS
•
This product contains Methyl salicylate and when applied or
rub on to the skin, can be absorbed through the skin into the
blood. For patients taking Warfarin, excessive application on to
the skin for muscle or joint pains may increase the chances of
bleeding.
