EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This injectable medicine belongs to the group called anti-TNF (tumour
necrosis factor)
preparation, which acts on the abnormally increased TNF, a substance
involved in the
development of inflammation and pain, to improve the symptoms of
rheumatoid arthritis.
It is usually used to treat rheumatoid arthritis with inadequate
response to existing therapies
(including prevention of structural joint damage). However, it does
not completely cure the
disease.
THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS MAY NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS
MEDICINE.BE SURE TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR
AND PHARMACIST.
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch,
rash, etc.) to any medicines
or foods.
If you have infection, active tuberculosis or a history of
tuberculosis or are suspected to have
tuberculous infection.
If you have demyelinating disease such as multiple sclerosis or its
past or family history.
If you have signs suggestive of demyelinating disease.
If you have congestive heart failure.
If you are susceptible to infections.
If you are a hepatitis B virus carrier or have a history of hepatitis
B.
If you have blood disease or its past history.
If you have a history of interstitial pneumonia.
If you have a history or a possibility of latex sensitivity.
