WHAT DYNA-U TABLET IS USED FOR
Indicated for symptomatic relief of
stomach ulcer, excessive acidity of
stomach, impaired digestion, and as
prevention of excessive intestinal gas.
HOW DYNA-U TABLET WORKS
Dyna-U Tablet is an antacid, reacts to
neutralise or buffer existing quantities
of stomach acid.
Simethicone enhance the effectiveness
of antacid in treating gastric
disturbances.
BEFORE YOU USE DYNA-U TABLET

_When you must not use it _
Do not use Dyna-U Tablet if you have
severe kidney function impairment,
appendix inflammation or intestinal
obstruction.
Antacids should not be given to young
children up to 6 years of age unless
prescribed by a physician.
_Pregnancy and lactation _
Ask your doctor or pharmacists for
advice before taking Dyna-U Tablet.

Anticholinergic agents

PHARMACODYNAMICS:
Aluminium is a non systemic antacid; it reacts chemically to
neutralise or buffer existing quantities of stomach acid.
Simethicone’s antifoam properties may enhance the effectiveness of
antacid in treating gastric disturbances.
PHARMACOKINETICS:
The insoluble Aluminium compounds that constitute Aluminium Hydroxide
mixture are slowly but perhaps incompletely converted to
Aluminium Chloride in the stomach. Some absorption of soluble
Aluminium salts occurs from the gastrointestinal tract with some
excretion
in the urine. Some unabsorbed Aluminium Hydroxide combines with
phosphates present in the gut to from insoluble Aluminium
Phosphates and some form carbonates and salts of fatty acid; all these
salts are excreted in the faeces.
Magnesium Chloride and hydrated silica gel are formed during
neutralisation. About 5% of the Magnesium are absorbed and traces of
the
liberated silica may be absorbed and excreted in the urine.
Simethicone is excreted in the faeces as uncharged drug.
INDICATIONS:
Symptomatic relief of peptic ulcer, gastric hyperacidity, dyspepsia,
and as an antiflatulent.
RECOMMENDED DOSE:
Adults
:
2 tablets.
Children 7 to 12 years
:
1 tablet.
All to be taken 3 to 4 times daily as required.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
FOR ORAL USE ONLY
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Antacids should not be given to young children (up to 6 years of age)
unless prescribed by a physician.
The medication should not be used in severe renal function impairment,
appendicitis or intestinal obstruction.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
The medication may interfere with or reduces the absorption of a
number of other drugs including anticholinergic agents, barbiturates,
digoxin, qui
