What Calpo Suspension is used for
Calpo Suspension is used for the
treatment of single or mixed worm
infestations, including threadworm,
roundworm, whipworm and hookworm.
How Calpo Suspension works
Calpo Suspension contains Mebendazole
which is an anthelmintic against
Threadworm (Enterobius), Roundworm
(Ascaris), Hookworm (Ancylostoma and
Necator) and Whipworm (Trichuris).
Before you use Calpo Suspension
When you must not take it
Do not take this product if you are allergic
(hypersensitivity) to Mebendazole or any
other ingredients in this product.
Before you start to use it
This medicine may pass into maternal
milk.
Taking other medicines
None known.
How to take Calpo Suspension
How much to take
Adults and children above 2 years:
Threadworm Infestation: 1 teaspoon (5ml)
as a single dose. May be repeated after 2
to 3 weeks.
Roundworm, Hookworm and Whipworm
Infestation:
1 teaspoon (5ml) twice a day for 3
consecutive days.
OR
1 bottle (25ml) as a single dose.
Shake well before use.
When to take it
May be taken with or without food.
How long to take it
Take as directed by your doctor or
pharmacist.
If you forget to take it
If you forget to give Calpo Suspension to
your child, give it as soon as you
remember. Never double up on the next
dose to make up for the one missed.
If you take too much (overdose)
In case of overdose, contact your doctor
immediately or go to the accident and
emergency centre at your nearest hospital
for medical advice.
While you are using Calpo Suspension
Things you must do
Check with your doctor at once your child
develops rash or allergic reactions.

Do not take this product to treat any other
condit
