WHAT SOFICLOR IS USED FOR
It is used to treat bacterial infection in ear,
respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft
tissues.
HOW SOFICLOR WORKS
Cefaclor
is
the
antibiotic
which
kills
bacteria in human body.
BEFORE YOU USE SOFICLOR

_When you must not use it _
Do not use Soficlor if you

are allergic to Cefaclor, cephalosporin
group of antibiotics, penicillin or any
other ingredients in this medicine.

_Before you start to use it _
Tell
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
before
using Soficlor if you:

are pregnant or plan to pregnant.

are
breast-feeding
or
plan
to
start
breast-feeding.

have kidney problem

have history of gastrointestinal disease,
especially colon inflammation.

_Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy
without
a
prescription
from
a
pharmacy,
supermarket
or
health
food
shop.
HOW TO USE SOFICLOR
-
_How much to use _

_Adults: _
10ml (250mg) every 8 hours.
_ _
Do not exceed 160ml (4g) daily.
For severe lung infection (
_pneumonia_
):
20ml (500mg) every 8 hours.
For
sexually
transmitted
infection
in
genital tract:
Single dose 120ml (3g) daily combined
with 1g probenecid, a medicine that used
to excrete uric acid in urine.

_Children: _
20mg/kg body weight/ day,
in divided dose every 8 hours.

Do not exceed 40ml (1g) daily.
For severe ear infection (
_otitis media_
) or
sore throat:
40mg/kg body weight/ day,
in divided doses every 12 hours.
