WHAT PROSDROP ARE USED
FOR
PROSDROP
is
used
to
treat
conditions known as open angle
glaucoma
and
ocular
hypertension.
Both
of
these
conditions
are
linked
with
an
increase in the pressure within
your
eye,
eventually
affecting
your eye sight.
PROSDROP
is
also
used
to
treat increased eye pressure and
glaucoma in paediatric.
HOW PROSDROP WORKS
PROSDROP belongs to a group
of
medicines
known
as
prostaglandin analogues.
It
works
by
increasing
the
natural
outflow
of
fluid
from
inside
the
eye
into
the
bloodstream.
BEFORE YOU USE PROSDROP
_When you must not use it_
Do not take PROSDROP if you:

allergic (hypersensitive) to
latanoprost
or
any
of
the
other
ingredients
of
PROSDROP

are pregnant (or trying to
become pregnant)

are breastfeeding.
If
you
have
one
of
these
conditions,
do
not
take
this
medicine
and
inform
your
doctor.
_Before you start to use it _
Before
treatment
with
PROSDROP
eye
drops,
tell
your doctor if you:

about to have or have had
any
eye
surgeries
in
the
past

have
any
eye
problems
(eye
pain,
irritation
or
inflammation
or
blurred
vision)

have dry eyes

wear contact lenses.
If
you
have
one
of
these
conditions, INFORM YOUR DOCTOR.
You
doctor
will
take
it
into
account during
your treatment
with PROSDROP.
_Taking other medicines _
Please
tell
your
doctor
or
pharmacist if you are taking or
have recently
taken any other
medicines, including medicines
obtained without a prescription.
The
use
of
two
or
more
prostaglandins analogues is not
recommended.
Concurrent
use
of
latanoprost
and
pilocarpine
may
result
in
reduced latanoprost efficacy.
Concurrent
use
of
thimerosal
and
latanoprost
may
result
in
precipitation in the eye.
