Serial Number WHAT PARACETAMOL TABLET 650 MG IS USED FOR Paracetamol Tablet 650 mg is used for symptomatic relief of minor aches, pains, fever, backache. HOW PARACETAMOL TABLET 650 MG WORKS Paracetamol Tablet 650 mg has analgesic (pain relief) and antipyretic (anti-fever) properties. BEFORE YOU USE PARACETAMOL TABLET 650 MG _-When you must not use it _ Do not take Paracetamol Tablet 650 mg if you are allergic to paracetamol or acetaminophen which is another name for paracetamol. If you are not sure whether you should use this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist first. _- Before you start to use it _ Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have allergies to paracetamol/acetaminophen, any other medicines, foods, preservatives or dyes. Your doctor or pharmacist needs to know before you take Paracetamol Tablet 650 mg if you have any medical condition. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist first if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. _ _ _ _ _-Taking other medicines _ This preparation contains Paracetamol/acetaminophen. Do not take any other Paracetamol/acetaminophen containing medicines at the same time. The effects of some medicines may be affected when used with Paracetamol Tablet 650 mg at the same time. Tell your doctor or pharmacist what other prescription and non- prescription medicines that you are taking. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Paracetamol Tablet 650 mg. TABLET PARACETAMOL Idealprins Industries Sdn Bhd PH Paracetamol Tablet Lea et (F) Amendment 3 Date 24/01/2018 Size: 148.5 mm (H) x 210 mm (W) concentrations encountered during acute intoxication. Following therapeutic doses 90 - 100% of the drug may be recovered in the urine within the first day. However, practically no paracetamol is excreted unchanged and the bulk is excreted after hepatic conjugation. INDICATIONS Paracetamol is used for the symptomatic relief of fever, minor aches, pains and backache. CONTRAINDICATIONS Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients/components of the product. Severe and active hepatic impairment. ADVERSE REACTIONS Adverse reactions of paracetamol are rare and usually mild, though hematological reactions have been reported. WARNING AND PRECAUTION This preparation contains PARACETAMOL. Do not take any other PARACETAMOL containing medicines at the same time. *There have been cases of bronchospasm with paracetamol, but these are more likely in asthmatics sensitive to aspirin or other NSAIDs. COMPOSITION Each tablet contains Paracetamol 650 mg and Potassium sorbate 0.75 mg as preservative. PHARMACODYNAMICS Pharmacotherapeutic group: Other analgesics and antipyretics, Anilides ATC code N02B E01 Paracetamol is an antipyretic analgesic. The mechanism of action is probably similar to that of aspirin and dependant on the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. This inhibition appears, however to be on a selective basis.
