LOZENGES (HONEY LEMON) IS USED FOR
DifflamAB Sore Throat Lozenges
(Honey Lemon) is used for
symptomatic relief of mouth and throat
infections
HOW DIFFLAMAB SORE THROAT
LOZENGES (HONEY LEMON) WORKS
DifflamAB Sore Throat Lozenges
(Honey Lemon) contains the active
ingredients 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol
and Amylmetacresol that are
antiseptics. These two active
ingredients exert an antibacterial,
antifungal and antiviral properties.
BEFORE YOU USE DIFFLAMAB SORE
THROAT LOZENGES (HONEY LEMON)
_ When you must not use it _
Do not take this medicine if you are
hypersensitive to any of the ingredients
in this product.
This medicine is not to be used in
children below 6 years of age.
Please do not take this medicine if you
have a rare hereditary condition called
glucose-galactose malabsorption or
sucrose isomaltose insufficiency. If
you are unsure about this, kindly ask
your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

COMPOSITION
Each lozenge contains
2,4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol 1.2mg
Amylmetacresol 0.6mg
PHARMACODYNAMICS
2,4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol and
Amylmetacresol are antiseptics and possess
antibacterial (bactericidal and bacteriostatic),
antifungal and antiviral properties as
demonstrated in vitro. When the two active
agents are combined, a synergistic antibacterial
action is observed leading to a reduced
combined dose.
_In-vitro _
studies demonstrated killing effects
against some sore throat causing organisms
such as
_Streptococcus pyogenes_
,
_Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus _
_influenza and Moraxella catarrhalis,_
at 1 minute contact time. An overall
reduction in the oral bacterial load was
also seen in one in-vivo study.
_In-vitro _
antiviral action against enveloped
viruses including influenza A virus,
para-influenza virus, respiratory syncytial
virus, cytomegalovirus and coronavirus has
also been observed for both amylmetacresol
and dichlorobenzyl alcohol as
