CHAMPS
D-WORMS
IS
USED FOR
Champs D-Worms is used to
treat
single
or
mixed
infestations
of
intestinal
parasites
or
worms
including
roundworm,
whipworm,
pinworm,
threadworm,
hookworm and tapeworm.
HOW
CHAMPS
D-WORMS
WORKS
Champs
D-Worms
contains
Albendazole
as
an
active
ingredient.
Albendazole
kills
these works by causing them to
starve of energy. It is effective
against eggs, larvae and adult
worms.
BEFORE
YOU
USE

_When you must not take it _
Do not take this medicine if you
have an allergy to:
•
Albendazole
•
any of the other ingredients
listed
at
the
end
of
this
leaflet
Do not take this
•
if you have liver function
impairment
•
if you are pregnant or you
suspect you are pregnant.
•
after
the
expiry
date
printed on the pack or if
the packaging is torn or
shows signs of tampering.
Women of childbearing should
take
the
medication
within 7
days
after
the
start
of
menstruation.
If it has expired or is damaged,
return it to the pharmacist for
disposal.
If you are not sure whether you
should
start
taking
this
medicine, talk to your doctor.

FARMAKODINAMIK:
Albendazole
mempunyai
sifat
larvacidal,
ovacidal
dan
vermicidal.
Ia
menghalang
pempolimeran
tubulin,
dengan
itu
mengurangkan
tahap
tenaga,
melumpuhkan
dan
kemudian membunuh helminth yang terdedah.
FARMAKOKINETIK:
Albendazole kurang diserap dari saluran gastrousus, tetapi pesat
mengalami metabolisma
first
pass.
Albendazole
sulphoxide
merupakan
metabolit
utama,
mempunyai
aktiviti
antihelmintik dan separuh hayat plasma kira-kira 8.5 jam; ia dikumuh
dalam air kencing
bersama-sama
dengan
metabolit
lain
termasuk
albendazole
sulphone
dan
2-amino
sulfonida dan 2-amino sulphone.
INDIKASI:
Digunakan untuk merawat jangkitan tunggal atau pelbagai cacing
termasuk cacing gelang,
cacing cambuk, cacing kait, cacing benang, cacing kerawit dan cacing
pita.
DOS YANG DICADANGKAN:
UNTUK JANGKITAN CACING GELANG, CACING CAMBUK, CACING KAIT ATAU CACING
KERAWIT
Kanak-kanak 1 hingga 2 tahun:
Ambil 1 sudu teh (5ml) ,sebagai dos tunggal.
Kanak-kanak 2 tahun ke atas dan dewasa:
Ambil 2 sudu teh (10ml), sebagai dos tunggal.
UNTUK JANGKITAN CACING BENANG ATAU CACING PITA
Kanak-kanak 1 hingga 2 tahun:
Ambil 1 sudu teh (5ml) , setiap hari selama 3 hari berturut-turut.
Kanak-kanak 2 tahun ke atas dan dewasa:
Ambil 2 sudu teh (10ml), setiap hari selama 3 hari berturut-turut.
UNTUK JANGKITAN PELBAGAI CACING
Ambil 2 sudu teh (10ml) dua kali sehari selama 3 hari berturut-turut.
Goncang sebelum ambil setiap dos.
KONTRAINDIKASI:
Albendazole dikenali sebagai teratogenik dan embriotoksik pada tikus
dan arnab. Oleh itu,
Albendazole tidak disyorkan untuk digunakan pada wanita hamil atau
sedang merancang
mengandung. Wanita yang mengandung harus mengambil ubat dalam masa 7
hari selepas
permulaan haid.
Hipersensitiviti terhadap Albendazole.
Masalah perubatan lain, terutamanya gangguan fungsi hepatik.
