FUDIN OINTMENT
[Composition] One gram contains:
Sodium Fusidate ------- 20mg (potency)
[Appearance] Translucent, white or ivory ointment
[Indication]
1.
Effective Fungus :Staphylococcus, streptococcus, Corynebacterium,
Clostridium
2.
Pyoderma (impetigo, infective eczematoid dermatitis, folliculitis,
furuncle, hidradenitis
suppurativa.), burn, trauma
3.
It can be used for the following disorders ; The 2nd infection by acne
(acne vulgaris), suture
wound, wound from dermatoplasty
[Dosage and Administration]
After cleaning the affected area, apply appropriate amount to the
affected area one or several
times a day or stick the applied sterile gauze.
Avoid applying on the thick area. Do not apply more than one week
[Cautions]
1.
Do not administrate to the following patients
1)
patients with hypersensitivity to fucidate and its salt
2)
Infectious patients by insusceptibility fungus (particularly
Pseudomonas aeruginosa)
2.
Side effects
Sometimes, the hypersensitivity of eruption, weak pain or stimulus may
be occurred. Stop
administrating when they are occurred.
3.
General Cautions
1)
Confirm sensitivity for preventing the occurrence of resistance fungus
in principle.
Administrate only for the necessary period of treatment.
2)
As sensitization could be occur, enough observation should be given,
stop administration
in the case that the symptom of sensitization (itching, rubber,
swelling, papule, vesicle,
etc) is occurred.
3)
Do not administrate for long term or wide range surface because it has
a high absorption
power.
4)
If the resistance fungus is occurred during using of local area, it
may be harmful to
administrate same anti-biotic material by oral administration. But in
general, the
resistance fungus has a sensitivity for this medicine in a short
period.
4.
Administration to pregnant women
As there have been reports that this medicine pass the placenta
barrier in systemic
administration, Administrate only in the case that effectiveness on
treatment is higher than
danger for local use
