WHAT METHOTREXATE ORION PHARMA IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
The active substance of Methotrexate Orion Pharma tablets,
methotrexate, is a substance with the following
properties:
-
it suppresses the growth of certain cells in the body that reproduce
quickly
-
it reduces the activity of the immune system (the body’s own defence
mechanism).
Methotrexate is used to treat:
-
active rheumatoid arthritis in adult patients
-
severe recalcitrant disabling psoriasis,which is not adequately
responsive to other forms of therapy such
as phototherapy, PUVA and retinoids in adult patients
-
severe psoriatic arthritis in adult patients
-
maintenance treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in
adults, adolescents and children aged
3 years and over.

tablets might help you in your particular
condition.

Methotrexate Orion Pharma 10 mg tabletter

KVALITATIV OCH KVANTITATIV SAMMANSÄTTNING
Methotrexate Orion Pharma 2,5 mg tabletter:
En tablett innehåller metotrexatdinatrium motsvarande 2,5 mg
metotrexat (vattenfri).
Hjälpämne(n) med känd effekt: 77,8 mg laktos (som
laktosmonohydrat).
Methotrexate Orion Pharma 10 mg tabletter:
En tablett innehåller metotrexatdinatrium motsvarande 10 mg
metotrexat (vattenfri).
Hjälpämne(n) med känd effekt: 311,2 mg laktos (som
laktosmonohydrat).

LÄKEMEDELSFORM
Tablett
Methotrexate Orion Pharma 2,5 mg tabletter:
Gul, rund, odragerad platt tablett, med brytskåra och märkt med ORN
57 på den ena sidan, diameter
6 mm.
Brytskåran är inte till för att dela tabletten i lika stora doser
utan enbart för att underlätta nedsväljning
Methotrexate Orion Pharma 10 mg tabletter:
Gul, kapselformad, konvex, odragerad tablett, märkt med ORN 59 på
den ena sidan och brytskåra på
den andra sidan, längd 14 mm och bredd 6 mm.
Tabletten kan delas i två lika stora doser.

KLINISKA UPPGIFTER
4.1
TERAPEUTISKA INDIKATIONER
-
_Antireumatikum: _
Aktiv reumatoid artrit hos vuxna patienter.
-
_Antipsoriatikum:_
Svår terapiresistent handikappande psoriasis, som inte svarar adekvat
på
andra terapiformer såsom ljusterapi, PUVA, och retinoider, samt svår
psoriasisartrit hos
vuxna patienter.

_Cytostatikum: _
Underhållsbehandling av akut lymfatisk leukemi (ALL) hos vuxna,
ungdomar och barn i åldern 3 år och uppåt.

DOSERING OCH ADMINISTRERINGSSÄTT
Metotrexat får endast förskrivas av läkare som har expertkunskap
gällande användande av metotrexat
och som har full kännedom om de risker som föreligger vid behandling
med metotrexat.
