As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis caused by _Eimeria necatrix_, _E. tenella_, _E. _ 17 _acervulina_, _E. brunetti_, _E. mitis_, and _E. maxima _in broiler chickens. 18 2. As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in growing turkeys caused by _E. _ 19 _adenoeides_, _E. meleagrimitis_, and _E. gallopavonis_. 20 21 IMPORTANT: Must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use. 22 23 MIXING DIRECTIONS: (Claims 1 and 2) 24 Thoroughly mix 500 g (0.5 kg) of Coban Premix in 1 tonne (1,000 kg) of feed to provide 25 monensin at 100 g monensin activity per tonne of feed. To ensure adequate mixing, an 26 intermediate blending step may be performed prior to manufacturing a complete feed. 27 28 FEEDING DIRECTIONS: 29 Feed continuously as the sole ration to broiler chickens. 30 Feed continuously as the sole ration to growing turkeys. 31 32 CAUTIONS: 33 1. May be used in feeds containing the pellet-binding agents, Bentonite (2%), 34 Attapulgite (2%), Kaolin (2.5%), Lignin Sulfonate (4%), Carboxymethylcellulose 35 (0.1%) or Agri-Colloid. 36 2. Do not allow canines, horses, other equines, or guinea fowl access to formulations 37 containing monensin. Ingestion of monensin by these species has been fatal. 38 3. This premix contains monensin: avoid simultaneous administration with tiamulin and 39 monitor for possible adverse reactions when used concurrently with other medicinal 40 substances. Avoid simultaneous administration of monensin and sulphonamides to 41 turkeys as instances of possible intoxication have been reported.
