For the treatment and control of Vitamin B12 and selenium deficiency
in sheep and cattle.

Contraindications:
This product is contraindicated for use when selenium intake form
pasture is high or
selenium is provided by other means (such as top dressing, vaccine,
pellets or selenium
drenches) if blood selenium levels at treatment are high. Users can
determine selenium
status by consulting their veterinarian.
Precautions:
This product should not be administered to sheep with known liver
damage concurrently
grazing plants which contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids, such as
Patterson’s Curse or
heliotrope.
Side Effects:
Dosage and
Administration:
Use contents within 24 hours of first broaching. Discard the unused
portion.
Give dose by subcutaneous injection only.
Species; Dose (mL) RLP APPROVED
LAMBS; 0.5 mL at marking or weaning
SHEEP; 1-1.5 mL pre lambing
CALVES; 2-3 mL from 2 months of age
COWS; 4-6mL pre calving
The frequency of dosing should be related to the severity of the
deficiencies. For instance,
for sheep in extremely deficient areas, repeat dose every 2-3 months.
In severely selenium
deficient areas, use a calculated dose of 0.1 mg Se/kg bodyweight. In
less deficient areas,
repeat dose every 5-6 months or as found necessary. Consult your
animal health adviser
for advice specific to your flock or herd.
General Directions:
CAUTION: AVOID CARCASS DAMAGE
1. Sterilize all injection apparatus by boiling (or equivalent) before
use. Avoid use of strong
disinfectants on apparatus.
2. Maintain cleanliness at all times.
3. Keep needle sharp and clean. Replace frequently.
