PRODUCT DESCRIPTION :
UniRINS CG
is a clear, red and sterile irrigation solution.
PHARMACODYNAMICS :
Chlorhexidine is a disinfectant which is effective against a wide
range of vegetative Gram-positive and
Gram-negative bacteria: it is more effective against Gram-positive
than Gram-negative bacteria, some
species of Pseudomonas and Proteus being less susceptible. The wide
range of organisms against which
chlorhexidine is active explains the rationale for presenting it in a
solution for swabbing wounds and burns
and in obstetrics.
PHARMACOKINETICS :
Chlorhexidine is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and
skin.
INDICATION :
Chlorhexidine Gluconate is a potent antibacterial agent for general
antiseptic purposes. It is bactericidal
to a broad spectrum of organisms.
UniRINS CG
is recommended for use in obstetrics and for swabbing
burns and wounds.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE :
Rinse the target area with clean water. Gently wash the area with the
minimum amount of
UniRINS CG
.
The solution is used undiluted. After rinsing with undiluted
UniRINS CG
, rinse the target area again
with clean water.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION :
For external use
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
UniRINS CG
should not come into contact with the brain, eyes, meninges or middle
ear. The use of
UniRINS CG
is also contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to
chlorhexidine.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS :
For external use only. Not for injection. When
UniRINS CG
is used in aseptic procedures, the outside of
the container should be disinfected before opening. Discard any unused
portion. Contact with eyes should
be avoided. Do not use within body cavities. Do not used if the
container is damaged. Do not mix with
detergents or other chemicals.
UniRINS CG

hypersensitivity, including
