PHARMANIAGA
ALLOPURINOL
TABLET 300MG IS USED FOR
It is used to prevent gout. This is a
disease where your body produces too
much of a substance called ‘uric acid’.
The uric acid builds up in your joints
and tendons as crystals. These crystals
can
cause
an
inflammatory
reaction.
The
inflammation
causes
the
skin
around
certain
joints
to
become
swollen,
tender
and
sore
when
only
slightly
touched.
You
can
also
find
severe pain when the joint is moved.
Pharmaniaga
Allopurinol
Tablet
300mg
is
used
to
prevent
other
conditions where there is a builds up of
uric acid in the body. These include
kidney stones and certain other types
of kidney problem and when you are
having treatment for cancer.

TABLET 300MG WORKS
Pharmaniaga
Allopurinol
Tablet
300mg
works
by
slowing
down
the
speed of certain chemical reaction in
your
body.
These
results
in
the
reduction of uric acid concentrations in
both plasma and urine, ideally to such
an extent that deposits of uric acid are
dissolved or prevented from forming.
By lowering uric acid concentration in
both
serum
and
urine
prevents
the
occurrence or progression of gout.

YOU
USE

_When you must not use it _
Do not take Pharmaniaga Allopurinol
Tablet 300mg if you:
•
are
allergic
to
any
medicine
containing Allopurinol or any of the
other ingredients listed at the end of
this leaflet.
•
are currently suffering from an acute
attack of gout.
