WHAT IS CHROMIUM [
51
CR] EDETATE USED FOR 

Chromium [
51
Cr] Edetate Injection BP is used to determine the amount of fluid flowing through 
your  kidneys  (glomerular  filtration  rate)  and  to  assess  the  function  of  your  kidneys.  Chromium 
(
51
Cr)  Edetate  contained  in  this  product  is  a  diagnostic  pharmaceutical.  It  contains  radioactive 
Chromium-51  in  a  solution  of  Ethylenediaminetetra-acetic  acid  (EDTA)  and  0.9%  Sodium 
Chloride. 

Your  nuclear  medicine  physician  or  specialist  may  be  giving  you  a  Chromium  [
51
Cr]  Edetate 
Injection BP for other conditions. Ask your nuclear medicine physician or technologist why you 
have been referred for this treatment. 

HOW IS CHROMIUM (
51
CR) EDETATE INJECTION GIVEN
