This vaccine is recommended for mass administration to healthy
chickens as an
aid
in
the
prevention of disease caused by Escherichia coli.
10 x 2,500 doses; 10 x 5,000 doses; 10 x 10,000 doses
USE ALL PRODUCT WITHIN 2 HOURS
OF
OPENING
- Each bird must receive the full dose of living vaccine to be fully
protected.
- The living vaccine bacteria must not
be
exposed to disinfectants or heat.
- Only birds
in
good health should be vaccinated.
- Disinfectants or antibiotics should not be used for the 3 day period
at/prior to vaccination,
and the coarse spray should use distilled water (i.e. non-chlorinated)
and skim milk powder
should
be
added
in
the drinking
water-
to facilitate inactivation of chlorine and persistence
of the vaccine organism.
Administer the vaccine early
in
the morning.
Vaccinate
by
coarse spray at 1 day of age. A second vaccination is recommended for
long-
lived birds
at
12-
14 weeks of age via drinking water.
Methods of Vaccination
SPRAY METHOD
For all vial sizes, reconstitute and spray as follows:
1.
Remove seal from vial of vaccine.
2. Remove the stopper and half-fill vial with cool, sterile distilled
water.
3. Replace stopper and shake, until vaccine is
in
solution
4.
Pour rehydrated vaccine into a clean container
of
cool, sterile distilled water to dilute the
vaccine as indicated fpr your specific coarse spray vaccination
machine. For example, with
a machine that dispen'ses 10
ml
to a box
of
100 chickens, use a total of 500
ml
of
cool,
sterile distilled water
