EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine acts to increase the sensitivity of cardiac muscle to
calcium ions and dilate
blood vessels by inhibiting phosphodiesterase (PDE-3) activity,
thereby improving symptoms
such as shortness of breath and difficulty in breathing.
It is usually used for the treatment of acute cardiac failure, chronic
cardiac failure (mild to
moderate).
