The solution is applied topically to the scalp and head hair to eradicate human head lice through physical means. It contains agents that kill the lice and their eggs through a non-poisonous action by adhering to and rapidly spreading across the external cuticle of the lice blocking their respiratory openings and disrupting their ability to manage water.
