EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine promotes release of acetylcholine and inhibits
degradation of acetylcholine by
antagonism of dopamine D
2
receptor. It consequently enhances gastrointestinal motility.
It is usually used to improve gastrointestinal symptoms (abdominal
bloating, upper abdominal
pain, loss of appetite, heartburn, nausea and vomiting) in chronic
gastritis.
