Discovery IQ PET/CT system is intended for head & whole body attenuation corrected PET imaging & localization of emission activity in patient anatomy by means of integrated PET & CT images. System is to be used by trained health care professionals for imaging the distribution of radiopharmaceuticals in the body for assessment of metabolic (molecular) & physiologic functions in patients of all ages. This can assist in radiotherapy planning, the evaluation, diagnosis, staging, restaging, & follow up of lesions, disease & organ function such as (but not limited to) cancer, cardiovascular disease & brain dysfunction. The system can also be used as a stand-alone head & whole body multi-slice CT diagnostic imaging systems. Qualified GE CT System is indicated for low-dose CT for lung cancer screening. Screening must be performed within the established inclusion criteria of programs/protocols that have been approved & published by either a governmental body or professional medical society.
