FARMGUARD DTP TEAT CARE -TO HELP CONTROL MASTITIS PRODUCING ORGANISMS
ON THE TEATS OF LACTATING DAIRY CATTLE
POST-MILKING. AT USE CONCENTRATIONS, FARMGUARD DTP TEAT CARE IS
STABLE, AND NON-CORROSIVE TO DAIRY COW TEATS.
IT HAS MEDIUM TO HIGH FOAMING CHARACTERISTICS. REGULAR USE WILL REDUCE
THE INCIDENCE OF NEW INFECTIONS.
BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN
NECESSARY, TO AVOID UNNECESSARY PAIN AND DISTRESS
WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN AS DIRECTED ON THE LABEL.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: This can be altered accordingly, depending on the
weather conditions.
For wet, muddy, windy conditions - (teats in poor condition).
Add 1 part FarmGuard DTP Teat Care, 1 part extra emollient (e.g.
Sorbitol or Glycerine), 6 parts water (e.g. 2.5L of teatspray plus
2.5L added
emollient to 15L water to make up a 20L volume).
For dry conditions - (teats in good condition).
Add 1 part FarmGuard DTP Teat Care to 9 parts water. Apply as a spray
or dip to ensure teat is completely covered. Use diluted solution
immediately. NOTE: FarmGuard DTP Teat Care contains high levels of
emollients; extra emollients may be added when required.
CONTAINS: Active ingredients 22 g/L IODINE and 52 g/L SORBITOL. Also
contains 257g/L EThOxyLATED TRIDECyL ALCOhOL.
HAZARD STATEMENTS:
Subclass 6.3 Category A - Substances that are irritating to the skin.
Subclass 6.5 Category B - Substances that are contact sensitisers.
Subclass 6.9 Category B - Substances that are harmful to human target
organs or systems.
Subclass 8.3 Category A - Substances that are corrosive to ocular
tissue.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS: Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid
breathing dust/vapour or spray mist. Wear overalls, impervious gloves
and chemical goggles. Ensure adequate ventilation when using. If
inhalation risk exists wear suitable mist respirator. Store in a cool,
dry,
well ventilated place and out of direct sunllight. Keep containers
closed when not in use.
