The kit consists of lPG, lPG port plugs and surgical accessories. The IPG is intended to treat chronic pain by electrically stimulating the spinal cord. It is a rechargeable device controlled by a handheld Remote Control, and can be engaged by a clinician programmer for programming. Periodically, the IPG battery requires replenishing with an external RF charging device. The Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator System is indicated as an aid in the management of chronic intractable pain.
