A device (referred to as a Body Box) that measures and records changes in the body. A whole body plethysmograph is constructed of metal, plastic and glass, and is used for pulmomary function studies. The unit consists of an airtight chamber, in which the patient is placed (walk in or wheel in), and a spirometric device that is used to determine, e.g. the patient's lung volume changes or airway resistance.
