EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine blocks the histamine H
2
receptors on the gastric mucosa, thus suppressing the
secretion of stomach acid.
It is usually used in the treatment of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer,
gastritis and esophagitis.
