GROUP INSECTICIDE 3A www.ensystex.com.au www.ensystex.com.au GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS MIXING Dilute Dipthor DUO Insecticide with a suitable volume of oil (eg DC Tron), kerosene or water according to the equipment manufacturer’s recommendations for the output rates required. Do not store diluted insecticide. Prepare fresh spray as required. APPLICATION Diluted Dipthor DUO Insecticide should be applied uniformly using c a l i b r a t e d conventional ground-based or hand application equipment. These include thermal fogging equipment, cold aerosol generating ULV equipment, hand-held or knapsack sprayers. Applications should be in response to high target insect numbers, disease risk and pro-active pesticide management. INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING For insecticide resistance management Dipthor DUO Insecticide is a Group 3A insecticide. Some naturally-occurring insect biotypes resistant to Dipthor DUO Insecticide and other Group 3A insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if Dipthor DUO Insecticide or other Group 3A insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of Dipthor DUO Insecticide on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. MAJOR HEALTH HAZARDS: The onset of symptoms varies depending upon the route of absorption and quantity involved. In patients with occupational poisoning, skin symptoms usually develop within 4-6 hours after exposure, with systemic symptoms occurring as late as 48 hours after exposure. Paraesthesia of the facial skin can develop about 30 minutes after exposure. It does not usually last beyond 24 hours when exposure is terminated. Following ingestion, the initial symptoms involve the gastrointestinal tract, developing 10-60 minutes after exposure.
