WHAT DECAN TABLET IS USED FOR
Decan
Tablet
is
used
for
various
illnesses involving inflammation in the
body
such
as
acute
rheumatism,
rheumatoid
arthritis,
acute
gouty
arthritis,
bronchial
asthma,
serum
sickness (allergic reaction), diffusum
lupus
erythematosus
(autoimmune
diseases), nodular arthritis, pemphigus,
bursitis,
myositis,
fibromyositis
and
inflammatory eye diseases.
HOW DECAN TABLET WORKS
Decan Tablet can decrease or prevent
tissue
responses
to
inflammatory
processes,
thereby
reducing
the
development
of
symptoms
of
inflammation
without
affecting
the
underlying cause.
BEFORE YOU USE DECAN TABLET
-
_When you must not use it _
Do not use Decan Tablet if:
•
You
are
hypersensitivity
to
dexamethasone, or the ingredients
listed at the end of this leaflet.
•
You have osteoporosis (fragile and
weak bone) and mental disorder
such
as
psychoses
and
severe
psychoneurosis
unless
it
been
considered as life-saving.
•
You
have
systemic
fungal
infections.

_Before you start to use it_
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if:
•
You have pheochromocytoma
(A tumour of the adrenal gland)
•
You have congestive heart failure,
high
blood
pressure,
diabetes
mellitus,
chronic
kidney
failure,
and uraemia (retention of waste
products in the bloodstream).
•
You are an elderly
•
You have ocular herpes simplex
(virus
infection
affecting
eyes),
mental
disorder
and
gastric
duodenal ulcer.
Some
medicines
may
increase
the
effects of Decan Tablet and your doctor
may wish to monitor you carefully if
you
are
taking
these
medicines
(including
some
medicines
for
HIV
such as Cobicistat).
