TRI-SOLFEN is a local anaesthetic and antiseptic gel spray for pain
relief on lambs following
tail docking, on lambs and calves during and following castration and
as an adjunct therapy for
calves after disbudding using hot iron cautery.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
FOR TOPICAL USE ONLY
MINIMISE RISK OF INFECTION BY MAINTAINING CLEAN HYGIENIC PRACTICES FOR
EQUIPMENT AND
FACILITIES. AS FAR AS POSSIBLE, AVOID TREATMENT OF ANIMALS DURING WET
WEATHER OR UNDER
DUSTY CONDITIONS.
Users must comply with New Zealand animal welfare legislation at all
times when undertaking
surgical or painful procedures involving animals.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Use of the special TRI-SOLFEN applicator is recommended.
Refer to table for total TRI-SOLFEN dose per animal.

Tail Docking (Lambs):
Apply TRI-SOLFEN spray to the wound immediately after tail docking.
Ensure that entire
wound area is evenly covered with spray, particularly wound edges. Do
not spray to run-off.
In lambs, insecticidal preparations can be appl
