DESCRIPTION
TMS Oral Granules contains trimethoprim, a synthetic antibacterial,
and sulfadiazine, a
sulfonamide in combination at a ratio of 1:5. The two components of
TMS Oral Granules
produce a sequential blockade of bacterial metabolism, giving a level
of activity many times
greater than that obtained from either drug alone.
DOSAGE FORM
TMS Oral Granules is a dosage form containing 6.7% w/w trimethoprim
USP and 33.3% w/w
sulfadiazine USP in an inert carrier.
SPECTRUM OF ACTIVITY
TMS Oral Granules provides effective antibacterial activity against a
wide range of infections
caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Pathogenic bacteria which can cause infection in the horse and are
susceptible to TMS Oral

INDICATIONS
TMS Oral Granules is indicated in horses for the treatment of the
following infections when
caused by susceptible organisms:

Other respiratory infections

Wound and postoperative infections
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
