The ADVIA Centaur Amino-Terminal Propeptide of Type III Procollagen (PIIINP) assay is for in vitro diagnostic use in the quantitative measurement of amino-terminal propeptide of type III procollagen in human serum using the ADVIA Centaur systems. The PIIINP assay is a component of the ELF test which is indicated, in conjunction with other laboratory findings and clinical assessments, as an aid in the diagnosis and assessment of the severity of liver fibrosis in patients with signs and symptoms of chronic liver disease. This test is not intended for use on any other system.
