Ester of benzylpenicillin for subcutaneous or intramuscular injection
ACTIVE CONSTITUENT:
Each vial contains 5 g of penethamate hydriodide.
For the treatment of mastitis, respiratory infections, footrot and
uterine infections.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Reconstitute with 15 mL of water for injection.
For subcutaneous (s.c.) or intramuscular (i.m.) administration only.
Horses and cattle: 5 g daily.
Pigs and sheep: 2.5 g daily.
Repeat dose daily for 1-5 days.
For mastitis in lactating dairy cattle:
10 g on day one, followed by 5 g on day two;
OR 5 g daily for 3 days.
IT IS AN OFFENCE FOR USERS OF THIS PRODUCT TO CAUSE RESIDUES EXCEEDING
THE RELEVANT MRL
IN THE FOOD NOTICE: MAXIMUM RESIDUE LEVELS OF AGRICULTURAL COMPOUNDS.
WITHHOLDING PERIOD
Not for use in bobby calves.
MEAT: 7 days
MILK:
CATTLE – 48 hours after the last treatment of 5 g daily dosage; 60
hours after the last treatment
of 10 g plus 5 g. Must not be fed to bobby calves.
SHEEP – 35 days.
