Recycle or crush and bury empty container in a suitable landfill. SLIGHTLY HARMFUL IN THE AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT. Avoid contamination of any water supply with product or empty container. Contains 3x10 CpGV/L (codling moth granulosis virus) in the form of a suspension concentrate. WARNING • MAY CAUSE EYE IRRITATION STORAGE Store the unused packs of Madex 3 at –18ºC in a deep freezer or at 5ºC in a fridge. Madex 3 should be used within 28 days when not being cooled. SHELF LIFE: When stored at –18ºC this product should show no significant degradation for 4 years from the date of manufacture. When stored appropriately at 5ºC this product should show no significant degradation for 2 years from the date of manufacture. When stored at room temperature this product should show no significant degradation for 28 days. Contact your supplier for further information about the use of any product that is older than this. TRANSPORT: The formulation of Madex 3 is very stable; therefore activity of the virus will not be reduced, if the product is transported without refrigeration. DIRECTIONS FOR USE RATE: Use 100ml of Madex 3 in 1500–2000 litres of water per hectare. Apply as a dilute spray to the point of run-o, The addition of an UV protectant may improve the residual activity of Madex 3. Madex 3 mixes readily with water. TIMING: Make the first application when newly hatched codling moth larvae are present which is four weeks after large catches of moths are recorded in the codling moth pheromone traps around the time of petal fall.
