HOW GENTACIN WORKS Gentamicin sulphate is an antibiotic which is effective against a wide range of bacteria, namely Staphylococcus, Streptococcus species of Pseudomonas, Proteus vulgaris, E-coli, Aerobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae and many coliform bacilli. BEFORE YOU USE GENTACIN - _When you must not use it _ If allergic to gentamicin sulphate or other ingredients of Gentacin. _- Before you start to use it _ Excessive or prolonged use of gentamicin may cause overgrowth of wounds caused by fungi or other bacteria. It may also lead to skin sensitization, resulting in allergy reactions with subsequent use of cream. _ _HOW TO USE GENTACIN - _How much to use_ Adults and children over 1 year of age: Apply to affected skin two times to three times daily. - _When to use it _ Always use Gentacin exactly as your doctor has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. - _How long to use it _ You should check with your doctor or pharmacist. - _If you forget to use it _ Apply as soon as you remember. _- If you use too much (overdose) _ If use too much Gentacin, contact your doctor, an emergency department or a poisoning center immediately. Overuse of Gentacin may result in itching, redness, swelling or other signs of irritation.
