EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine decreases blood pressure by blocking β-receptors and
prevents angina attacks
and controls disturbed pulse by suppressing excessive heart activity.
It is usually used to treat essential hypertension (mild to moderate),
cardiac neurosis,
arrhythmia (sinus tachycardia, tachyarrhythmia, supraventricular
extrasystoles, ventricular
extrasystoles) and angina pectoris.
THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS MAY NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS
MEDICINE.BE SURE TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR
AND PHARMACIST.
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch,
rash, etc.) to any medicines
or foods.
If you have bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, diabetic ketoacidosis,
metabolic acidosis, slow
pulse, atrioventricular block, sick sinus syndrome, sinoatrial block,
cardiogenic shock, right
heart failure due to pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure,
hypotension or
untreated pheochromocytoma.
・If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or possibly pregnant.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may
interact to enhance or
diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and
dietary supplements
as well as other prescription medicines.)
