STATEMENTS:
Each tablet contains 120 µg IVERMECTIN
CLAIMS:
For the prevention of heartworm disease in dogs 11 to 20kg. RSPCA
Monthly Heartworm
Tablets for Medium Dogs prevent heartworm disease in dogs by
eliminating the tissue
stage of heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis) that infected the dog
in the month (30 days)
before treatment.
NET CONTENTS:
6 tablets
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
The proper dose should be given at monthly intervals during the period
of the year when
mosquitoes potentially carrying infective larvae are active. The
initial dose must be
given within one month of the first exposure to mosquitoes. However,
RSPCA Monthly
Heartworm Tablets for Medium Dogs also control heartworm infection
when treatment
is initiated up to four months after exposure to infected mosquitoes,
provided monthly
treatment is continued for at least 12 months. The final dose must be
given within one
month after the last exposure to mosquitoes. When replacing another
heartworm disease
preventive product in a heartworm disease preventive programme, the
first dose of RSPCA
Monthly Heartworm Tablets for Medium Dogs must be given within a month
after the last
dose of the former medication.
RESTRAINTS:
DO NOT use in puppies under 6 weeks of age.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Not applicable
PRECAUTIONS:
Consult a veterinarian before use. Adverse reactions may occur when
administering
this product to dogs for prevention of heartworm. If worm problems

SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Consult the National Poisons Centre on 13 1126 or a doctor immediately
in every case of
suspected chemical poisoning. Never give fluids or induce vomiting if
a patient is unconscious
or convulsing regardless of cause of injury. If medical
advice/attention is needed, have this
SDS, product container or label at hand.
INHALATION:
If dust, aerosols or combustion products are inhaled remove from
contaminated area. Other
measures are usually unnecessary. If respiratory symptoms occur,
remove patient to fresh air.
Lay patient down and keep warm and rested. If breathing is shallow or
has stopped, ensure
