INDICATIONS:
For the treatment of bacterial enteritis in calves, sheep and goats.
WITHHOLDING TIMES:
IT IS AN OFFENCE FOR USERS OF THIS PRODUCT TO CAUSE RESIDUES EXCEEDING
THE RELEVANT MRL IN THE FOOD
NOTICE: MAXIMUM RESIDUE LEVELS FOR AGRICULTURAL COMPOUNDS.
MILK:
Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during
treatment and for
35 DAYS following the last treatment.
MEAT:
Animals Producing Meat or offal for human consumption must not be sold
for slaughter either
during treatment or within 21 DAYS of the last treatment.
NOT FOR USE IN BOBBY CALVES.
Do not use in animals with impaired renal function.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For oral administration to calves, sheep, and goats.
Give an initial loading dose of one 3.25 g tablet per 35 kg
bodyweight, then a maintenance dose of
half a 3.25 g tablet per 35 kg bodyweight at 12 hourly intervals.
Treatment for 2 – 3 days is normally sufficient but in some cases
(e.g. secondary infections), it may be
necessary to extend the period. Do not continue treatment for longer
than 7 days. Fluid replacement
therapy should be given if dehydration is present. Ensure adequate
drinking water is available to
animals during treatment.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
May cause skin and eye irritation. Repeated exposure may cause skin
allergy. Sulphapyridine may
possibly cause damage to genetic material. May possibly affect many
organs.
Avoid skin and eye contact. Handle the product with care to avoid oral
exposure.
FIRST AID:
If skin or hair contact occurs remove contaminated product and flush
skin and hair with running
water.
If splashed in eyes wash out immediately with water. Remove contact
lenses, if present and easy to
