WHAT MUCOLIX ELIXIR IS USED FOR
Mucolix is indicated in bronchitis, chronic
asthma,
productive
coughs
and
other
respiratory conditions in which stubborn or
excessive mucus (phlegm) is a problem.
HOW MUCOLIX ELIXIR WORKS
Bromhexine Hydrochloride is a mucolytic
agent which helps to liquefy and loosen
thick phlegm in the airway.
BEFORE YOU USE MUCOLIX ELIXIR
_-When you must not use it_
Do not use Mucolix Elixir:

if you are allergic to bromhexine or any
other ingredients in this medicine.

for children below 2 years old without
medical advice.

if you are pregnant or plan to become
pregnant.

if you are breastfeeding or plan to start
breastfeeding.
_-Before you start to use it_
Tell your doctor or pharmacist before using
Mucolix Elixir if you have liver problems,
kidney problem and stomach ulcers.
_-Using other medicines_
Tell
your
doctor
if
you
are
taking
any
antibiotics
(medicines
used
to
treat
infection)
or
other
medicines,
including
any that you buy without a prescription
from a pharmacy, supermarket or health
food shop.
HOW TO USE MUCOLIX ELIXIR
_-How much to use_
Adult and children over 12 years: 10ml
Children 6 to 12 years: 5ml
Children 2 to 6 years: 2.5ml
_-When to use it_
To be taken 3 times daily, or following the
advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
_-How long to use it_
Follow
the
advice
from
your
doctor
or
pharmacist.
If
symptoms
do
not
improve
within
14
days and/or
