WHAT MELOMET LOTION IS USED
FOR
MELOMET
LOTION
is
used
to
reduce
inflammation
and
itchiness
caused
by
certain
skin
conditions
including
the
scalp,
that
are
responsive to corticosteroids.
HOW MELOMET LOTION WORKS
MELOMET
LOTION
is
one
of
a
group
of
medicines
called
topical
corticosteroids.
Mometasone
furoate
has
anti-inflammatory,
anti-itching
and blood vessel narrowing action.
BEFORE
YOU
USE
MELOMET
LOTION

_When you must not use it _
Do not use MELOMET LOTION if
you
are
allergic
to
mometasone
furoate,
or
to
any
of
the
other
ingredients of MELOMET LOTION
or
to
other
similar
medicines.
Ask
your doctor or pharmacist if you are
not sure.

_Before you start to use it _
You should tell your doctor if you are
pregnant or breastfeeding, before you
start using MELOMET LOTION.

_Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you
are using other creams, ointments or
lotions or taking any other medicines.
This includes any that you get without
a
prescription
from
your
pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop.
HOW TO USE MELOMET LOTION

_How much to use _
Always
use
MELOMET
LOTION
exactly as your doctor has told you.
You should check with your doctor or
pharmacist if you are not sure.
A few drops of MELOMET LOTION
should be gently massaged into the
affected skin area including the scalp
until the medication disappears.
Use
of
topical
corticosteroids
in
children should be limited to the least
amount possible to achieve the desired
effect.
