EN BG CS MI VARNISH ™ TOPICAL FLUORIDE VARNISH WITH CALCIUM AND PHOSPHATE For use only by a dental professional in the recommended indications. DESCRIPTION MI Varnish is a 5% sodium fluoride varnish that has a desensitizing ac- tion when applied to tooth surfaces. It seals the dentine tubules tightly for an extended period of time. MI Varnish also contains RECALDENT* (CPP-ACP): Casein Phosphopeptide-Amorphous Calcium Phosphate. The application leaves a film of varnish on tooth surfaces. INDICATIONS Treatment of all hypersensitivities related to dentine exposure. CONTRAINDICATIONS 1. Do not use on patients with ulcerative gingivitis and stomatitis. 2. Casein Phosphopeptides are derived from milk casein. Do not use this material on patients with a proven or suspected milk protein allergy. PRECAUTIONS 1. In rare cases, the product may cause sensitivity in some people. If any such reactions are experienced, discontinue the use of the product and refer to a physician. 2. When MI Varnish is applied, patients should not use other prescrip - tive fluoride treatment such as fluoride gels during the same day. The routine use of fluoride tablets by patients should be interrupted for several days after treatment. DIRECTIONS FOR USE 1. Tooth surfaces should be cleaned and dried before application of MI Varnish. A prophylaxis is not required. 2. Peel off the foil lid of the unit dose container of MI Varnish. 3. Apply a thin, uniform layer of MI Varnish on teeth / surfaces using a disposable brush. NOTE: If separation is observed, stir with the disposable brush before application. 4. MI Varnish sets when in contact with water or saliva. 5. MI Varnish should remain undisturbed on the teeth for four hours.
