A LIVING BARRIER PROTECTION AGAINST ONION WHITE ROT DISEASE
AND FUSARIUM BASAL ROT
TENET BIO-FUNGICIDE GRANULE is a
biological agent for direct application to the root zones of all
Allium species of plants for
protection against onion white rot disease _(Sclerotium cepivorum)_
and Fusarium basal rot _(Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cepae). _ Tenet
con-
tains the proprietary strain _Trichoderma atroviride_ LU132 formulated
as a granule for direct application to the seed bed of Allium crops
during planting for early season disease protection. This biological
active ingredient acts by aggressively occupying the root zone niche
thereby protecting the plant’s roots from infection by the
disease-causing fungal pathogens. Tenet granule application at
planting is
recommended as an early season treatment to be integrated together
with a later season chemical pesticide disease protection pro-
gramme using compatible fungicides.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Contains a minimum 5 million colony forming units
per gram_ Trichoderma atroviride _LU132 in the form of a granule.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Tenet granule is a safe, naturally
occurring bio-fungicide, which prevents onion white rot and
Fusarium basal rot development by competitive exclusion of
fungal pathogen establishment in the root zone area. Tenet
should always be applied directly into the planting furrow at
seeding at the same level as the seed to ensure biological ac-
tive ingredient is in direct contact with the roots. Tenet can
be integrated into an overall pest and disease management
programme (IPM). Planting with Tenet granules followed by
spray application with chemical fungicides may assist in mini-
mising development of disease resistance to certain chemicals.
