ANTIBIOTIC/ANTIBIOTIQUE
ACTIVE INGREDIENT:Each g contains 55.0 mg of tetracycline
hydrochloride.
INDICATIONS:
CALVES: As an aid in the treatment of bacterial scours and bacterial
pneumonia.
SWINE: As an aid in the treatment of bacterial enteritis and bacterial
pneumonia.
SHEEP: As an aid in the treatment of bacterial enteritis.
POULTRY: As an aid in the treatment and prevention of synovitis and
bacterial enteritis,Blue comb or hexamitiasis
(diseases specific to turkeys), chronic respiratory disease (CRD).
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
_To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain
effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently._
SWINE:11.2 g powder (2 3/4 teaspoonful) per 5L of water or milk for 4
to 5 days.
NEWBORN PIGS:8 g (2 teaspoons) powder to 28 mL of water. Administer 5
mL of this mixture once every 24 hours
for three days.
CALVES:For calves under 45 kg, 5.6 g (1 ½ teaspoon) powder once
daily; for calves over 45 kg, 11.2 g (2 ¾
teaspoonful) powder once daily for 3 to 5 days.
SHEEP:4 g (1 teaspoonful) powder to 136 mL of milk administered as a
drench once a day for 3 to 5 days.
POULTRY: 8 g (2 teaspoonful) per 4.5 litres of water for 3 to 5 days.
NOTE: 4 g (1 teaspoon) powder contains approximately 220 mg of
tetracycline hydrochloride.
CAUTION:In all cases provide only medicated drinking water during the
treatment period and prepare a fresh
solution daily.
WARNINGS:Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for
at least 5 days after the latest treatment.
Do not use in laying birds. Do not use in lactating dairy cattle.When
handling the product, avoid inhalation, oral
exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes.Keep out of reach of
children.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature (15 - 30° C).
