The Retrograde Cardioplegia catheter is inserted into the coronary sinus to deliver cardioplegia solution to the coronary arteries on the back of the heart. Cardioplegia solution is delivered to stop the heart during cardiopulmonary bypass and thereby help to prevent ischemia of the myocardium.
