EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine suppresses the increase of viruses by inhibiting virus
DNA replication.
It is usually used to treat herpes simplex, herpes zoster, and as a
suppression of onset of
herpes simplex virus infection associated with hematopoietic stem cell
transplantation and
recurrence of genital herpes (in children who weigh more than 40 kg
only).
THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS MAY NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS
MEDICINE.BE SURE TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR
AND PHARMACIST.
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch,
rash, etc.) to any medicines
or foods.
If you have: compromised immune function (malignant tumor, autoimmune
disease, etc.), or
renal or liver disorder.
If you are prone to dehydration (such as the elderly).
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may
interact to enhance or
diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and
dietary supplements
